Recoil Performance RDA First Impressions

We’ve been waiting to try the Recoil Performance RDA for some time now. Grimm Green and Ohm Boy OC have been all over the internet reviewing products and spreading news about vaping rules and regulations for years now. It’s about time that they team up. Well, team up they did, and they created the Recoil RDA, which is simply a masterpiece. It’s a sleek design, and it provides unprecedented flavor and vapor in terms of saturation and density. We had pretty high expectations for the Recoil RDA, and boy did it deliver. Recoil Performance RDA Starter Kit

The starter kit for the Recoil Performance RDA comes with a Bro Flavor cap, a Bro Clouds cap, and a bag of spare parts including a selection of different O-rings all with different levels of tolerance for different purposes. We were really quite impressed with the double caps because, as you probably know, RDA’s are created to maximize either flavor or cloud production. It’s rare that one RDA can do both, but Grimm Green and Ohm Boy OC made it possible with this dual-cap functionality.

Recoil Performance RDA Design & Features

The Recoil Performance RDA really has a great build. We were blown away by the intensity of the clouds, and we couldn’t be happier with the saturation of flavor with every puff. Grimm Green and Ohm Boy OC didn’t achieve these results through any accident though. It was through meticulous construction. The barrel walls are about 3mm thick!

Even though the build deck only measures about 20.5mm, which is a bit small, the negative outside posts are slightly raised so you can easily insert your coils. Some vapers might complain that this RDA is neither a velocity-style nor clamp-style deck, but that shouldn’t deter you from purchasing the RDA. The posts are designed specifically to help you install your coils.

The Recoil Performance RDA also feels especially secure. The delrin drip tip is securely attached to the top cap, and the top cap comes off easily with only a slight tug so you can drip e-liquid very easily. Moreover, each of the o-rings comes with a different tolerance level for a different purpose, so when you use them on your RDA, everything feels solid and secure.

The drip tip, though is unfortunately not customizable. The delrin drip tip has a nice comfortable feel to it, but we would love to be able to personalize the drip tip with different colors and styles. We do like it, but we would have liked it to have had a 510 connection so that we could add a 510 drip tip adapter. This is a relatively minor flaw though all things considered.

Performance

We’ve already told you how much we love vaping this RDA. That’s no secret. We also like how it’s leak free. Most vaping products claim to be leak-free, but it usually turns out to be just an empty promise. The Recoil Performance RDA though has slanted airflow vents so there is no possible way for it to leak. However, that means that you can’t purge without having vapor blow in your face because the airflow holes will now be facing towards you. This also means that there is no adjustable airflow control. The flow is slightly tight, which we find perfect, but for those who like to adjust the airflow to their preferences, well, you’ll have to do without it.

I’ve never seen clouds like this come off of any vaporizer. I’m stunned! I am so glad I purchased my RDA, and I hope that Grimm Green and Ohm Boy OC team up again some time because this is simply a work of genius.

Recoil Performance RDA Price

You can find the Recoil Performance RDA sold online for about $60 depending on where you search. This is a bit on the pricey side for RDA’s, we admit, but it’s not too far out of the normal range. Plus, it’s more than worth every single penny. This is an exceptional product, and one you’ll have for years to come. We wouldn’t hesitate one second to go out and buy another one if the one we had broke.

Overall

While the Recoil Performance RDA has some minor flaws, they are more than overshadowed by all of its good qualities. The sleek design, the great build coil, the tight draw, the o-rings, the removeable cap–we were really blown away by how much we truly loved this RDA. We’ve been waiting for it for months, and now that it’s finally here, we’re the first ones to acknowledge that it was more than worth the wait. If you’re looking for an RDA, or even if you’re not, you need the Recoil, and you are going to regret it if you let this one pass you by.
